About Glam Group Metals

We are the buyer. And, when the trade calls for it, the seller too.

Glam Group Metals is a long-established metals purchasing group. We buy commercial metals directly from producers, refiners, recyclers, and stockholders — and place material with the industrial off-takers that actually consume it. One desk, both sides of the trade, one standard of execution.

Our story

A purchasing group, built the old-fashioned way.

We started with a simple discipline: buy metal you can actually place, and place metal you can actually stand behind. Two decades on, that discipline is still what defines the desk.

Our buyers come from smelting, refining, physical trading, and industrial procurement. Our placement side has worked in mills, foundries, and precious-metal refineries. The result is a purchasing group that reads a specification the same way its off-takers do — which is why sellers get decisions, not fishing expeditions.

We are private, we are direct, and we prefer repeat suppliers. The vast majority of the tonnage we buy each year comes from sellers we have already worked with. New sellers are welcome — on the same terms, with the same documentation, and with the same expectation of a professional conversation.

Two sides. One desk.

We know how to buy because we know how to sell.

Every purchase is priced against a placement route. That is why our bids are grounded in the physical market, not a wishlist.

01

Buying desk

We purchase for our own book.

Cathodes, ingots, billets, coils, well-graded scrap, and documented precious material. Firm bids, delivered against a defined pricing basis.

02

Selling desk

We place material with the right off-taker.

Smelters, refiners, mills, foundries, and industrial converters. Sellers benefit from the discipline of a buyer who also sells.

03

Structuring desk

We build the trade around the tonnage.

Incoterms, inspection, financing, and logistics designed so the material actually moves — not just gets talked about.

How the desk evolved

Long-term, by design.

  1. Origin

Founded as a private buying desk

Established to purchase commercial metals directly from producers and recyclers — no auctions, no consumer brokers, no retail pricing.

  2. Growth

    Expanded into placement

As the buying book scaled, we opened a placement desk to route material into the right smelters, refiners, and mills. Buying and selling now inform each other in the same team.

  3. Structure

    Formalised documentation standards

Every purchase is backed by specification, provenance, inspection provisions, and a signed commercial contract. No handshake tonnage.

  4. Today

    A discreet, international purchasing group

Long-term seller relationships, repeat monthly programmes, and case-by-case review of surplus, off-spec, and specialty stock.

Operating principles

How we treat the material — and the people offering it.

01

Clarity before commitment

We tell sellers what we need, what we pay against, and what happens next — before either side incurs cost.

02

Documentation matters

Specification, assay, provenance, and paperwork are the ground rules of every purchase we make.

03

Relationships over transactions

The best trades come back. We build purchasing relationships that outlive individual shipments.

Have material available? Bring it to the desk.

We review structured offers directly. No queues, no consumer middlemen, no wasted specification calls.
